For the first JOTI of my life as a scout it was fabulous! Especially:
- How else is it possible for somebody to meet lots and lots of scouts all over the world within a weekend?
- What's the choice for an easy way to get in contact with scouts from other countries and at low costs?
- How thrilling it is to chat with someone from somewhere else behind a nickname without knowing his real age, sex and location?
Is he a she, a scout leader or a commissioner, a young cub or a scout, a venturer or a rover/ranger scout, male or female?
I am pretty sure that there're some more positive point here,
for example to meet someone who was at the same part of the earth than you'd been before. :-)

Well, only one thing which was a little bit frustating:
- We weren't able to get our network to run... :-(
What a pity, but I will work on that to get it run for the next JOTI event in 2000!
