Are the people in and around Miritini and the Mombasa Scouts
As it is usual around the world people from all over the country searching a better live most just a less difficult one in the shadows of the big cities, so in Kenya as well.
They are disappointed and try now a bare of living in poor and shabby areas, even in slums.
Without the traditional village support experienced in their home settlements they live here under difficult and hindered conditions. There is no social assistance.
The Scouts of Kenya
• already render important work in education.• are partners in the project Harambee Costa Kenya together with the European scouts,
• take over responsibilities for the neighbours in the surrounding,
• bear an essential part for the realization of the project.
Together with the biggest national youth movement in the country, the Kenya Scout Association, the project will take care for this problem.
With the people in and around Miritini we will set up a new community together with the Kenya Scout Association and the Scout Community in Europe.
